How To play Craps

Playing Craps online has many advantages to playing in a Brick and Mortar Casino. The most important advantage is that you are able to lower the house edge by using one simple method, “DEPOSIT BONUSES”.  Every online casino will give you free money for signing up a new account with their site.  You are never offered this in a Brick and Mortar Casino.  Take full advantage of these bonuses, if you don’t you are passing up free money.  By taking these bonuses in a game like craps the casino no longer has the edge, you are now at a slight edge over the casino.  Most online casinos also offer a Comp program the more you play the more they give you, anything from money, to merchandise, to free chips to play in their casino.

We recommend playing craps and other casino games at GoCasino.com as they will give you a 100% match up to $20,000 on your deposits. You would never receive this generous treatment at a land based casino. To receive the full 100% bonus just follow any GoCasino.com link on this page, register an account, upon your first deposit the free money will be credited to your account.

At first glance craps may seem to be quite confusing, but craps is actually a very easy game to understand.  Craps is played with two regular dice.  After you place your bets the round is begun with a Come Out Roll, the most common bet is the Pass Line Bet. If you bet  the Pass Line on the Come Out Roll and the shooter rolls a 7 or 11 you would win the amount you bet.  If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12 you would lose your bet.  If the shooter rolls a 4,5,6,8,9, or 10 that number now becomes the point.  Now to win your Pass Line bet the shooter must roll the “Point” before crapping out(rolling a 7).  The shooter will roll the dice until either the point or a 7 gets rolled, if they roll the point first you win, if they roll a 7 you lose.

Odds On Pass Line Bet The next most common bet is taking “odds” on the pass line.  After the point is established on the Come Out Roll, you can take odds. What this means is you can bet extra money that the point will get rolled before the 7, you can wager anywhere from 3x to 100x your original bet.  Taking odds is the only bet in the casino that you are even money with the house.  Taking odds on a 4 or 10 will pay you 2:1, odds on 5 or 9 pays 3:2 and odds 6 or 8 pays 6:5. And these are the exact odds that these numbers will be rolled before a 7, hence the reason why the casino has no edge on this bet.

Don't Pass Line Bet - This is the opposite of the Pass Line bet. If you roll a 7 or 11 on the Come Out Roll you lose.  If your roll a 2 or 3 you win and a 12 is a push(you get your money back).  If the shooter rolls a point (4,5,6,8,9,10) on the Come Out Roll, they then must roll a 7 for you to win your bet, if the point is rolled first you lose.

Come Bet – The come bet is basically the same bet as the pass line bet, except you don’t start this bet until after the point has been established on the Come Out Roll.  The first dice rolled after the Come Out Roll point, is what will decides if the come bet is a winner.  If a 7 or 11 is rolled you win, if a 2, 3, or 12 is rolled you lose.  If a point is rolled you will need that point to be rolled again before a 7 to win.  You can also take odds on a come bet the same way you can on a Pass Line Bet.

Don't Come Bet- This is the opposite of a Come Bet, you will need the shooter to roll a 2 or 3 to win, 12 pushes and 7 or 11 loses.  If a point is established you will need to have a 7 rolled before the point to win your bet.

Field Bets - Field bets are placed for only the next roll(1 roll), if a 5,6,7, or 8 is rolled you lose.  If a 2,3,4,9,10,11, or 12 is rolled you win.

Place Bets-
This bet is to be done after the point is established.  To win a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 must be rolled before a 7, else you lose.
There are different payout's in accordance to which number is rolled 4 or 10 pays 9:5, a 5 or 9 pays 7:5, and a 6 or 8 pays 7:6.

Big 6 and Big 8 Bets- This bet pays 1:1(you win the amount you bet). You can place this bet at anytime, if a 6 or 8 comes up before a 7 you win, else you lose.
